Aligoté is a white grape used to make dry white wines. The grape is originally from Burgundy in Northeastern France. This grape variety produces wines with a slightly higher acidity than normal. Traditionally, the cocktail Kir is made by adding cassis to an Aligoté wine. In the meantime, with modern techniques, it is perfectly possible to produce a wine based on Aligoté that can be drunk perfectly pure, even more, they are good quality wines.
