Chatus is a red wine grape variety native to Ardeche, France. in 1880 the grape aphid epidemic destroyed most of the vineyards in the area. Since 1997, the grape variety has been making a real comeback. The grape can produce wines with beautiful colors and complex aromas of overripe fruit and intense and tannic flavor.
It is recommended to be aged five years before drinking.
